First and foremost, it has to be said that, compared to convective heating systems, radiant panels already save enormous energy over their enormous long life, which makes them per se an environmentally friendly product. Since there is almost no maintenance during the whole period, no energy input is necessary for it. Now, there are still the used materials. KSP to go® radiant panels are made exclusively of aluminium, steel and mineral wool insulation. At the end of their service life, these substances can be separated, recycled and returned to the raw material cycle without any problems. Thus, we can assure ourselves with a clear conscience that our KSP to go® radiant panels are enormously environmentally friendly and sustainable products.

Do ceiling panels really save energy and if so, how?

The feeling of comfort of people is very high in the case of heat radiation. A vivid example can confirm all lovers of winter sports. Even at outdoor temperatures of 0° C and below it can be pleasantly warm in the sun. A comparable effect is provided by ceiling radiant panels and thus the room temperature can be adjusted by approx. 3 - 5 Kelvin lower (depending on the hall height) than with convection heaters. According to current teachings, each lowered Kelvin saves about 10% of energy, since the energy requirement depends on the difference between outside and inside temperature.

Aren´t decentralized, directly fuelled gas heaters or air heaters much cheaper?

In the initial investment yes, but due to the ongoing, higher operating costs and necessary maintenances of these heating systems, e.g. Filter exchanges, chimney sweep tests, etc., the additional costs of a ceiling radiant heating are usually amortized within a few years. Then you save your money! Furthermore, you do not need to depend on an energy carrier with a warm water-based KSP to go® radiant heating system. The water in a radiant panel can be heated in a variety of ways, e.g. oil heaters, boilers, pellet heaters, heat pumps, remote or local heating, production waste heat, solar use, etc. This ensures you a future- proof heating installation, where you are also able to replace your heat generators, if necessary.

Why should you install radiant panels instead of air heaters in halls over 3.5 meters in height?

Because it only needs to be pleasantly warm in the demand zone from 0 - 2 meters above the ground level and with radiant panels unused air space is not heated unnecessarily, which can save up to 45% operating costs!
