Aren´t the radiant panels with the necessary water filling too heavy for a ceiling mounting?

KSP to go® radiant panels have an operating weight of approx. 16.5 kg / m². In the case of a poorly insulated building and a feed temperature of 65° C, you can assume there would be a necessary occupancy of approx. 30% of the roof area. As a result the roof's surface would be loaded with 4, 95 kg / m². If a roof can not cope with this load, you should not really enter this building anymore for security reasons. The better the U-values of the enclosing surfaces and the lower the heating load requirement, the smaller the necessary occupancy area and the roof surface load decreases accordingly to an average of 2,5 - 3,5 kg / m².

Each KSP to go® radiant panel has four mounting points with a given axis dimension. The suspension can be carried out via chains or wire rope systems. The panels are already equipped with screw holes at each attachment point.

Up to a strip length of 15 m, a distance of 15 - 20 cm from the ceiling is sufficient. For longer strips we recommend a minimum distance of 35 cm. Both data are recommended minimum clearances to the ceiling, due to the thermal expansion of the panels. If you can or want to hang the panels lower, there is absolutely no objection.

Yes, sometimes this is even necessary, because you have to mount over running rails from gates or other objects. In this case, please note that the panels must not be screwed directly and firmly to the ceiling. Instead, mount e.g. matching Z-profiles to the ceiling and insert the panels into the profiles. For safety reasons, the first panel (and only this one) should be screwed to the Z profile.

Most of our customers swear on wire rope suspension systems with variable endings such as Trapezoidal metal hooks, M6 threads, or eyelets in various inclinations etc. Alternatively, of course, you can also depend on chains. However, do not use rigid suspensions such as threaded rods, etc. Those are not suitable, because they can not compensate for thermal expansion.
